Bedding manufacturer King Koil reports that it is adding to its operations team in advance of the startup of its first company-owned manufacturing center. Michael Vidoli, a King Koil veteran, has been named Vice President of Operations for the U.S., and Drew Gagnon, a seasoned bedding plant manager, joins the company as plant manager for the new, 90,000-square-foot factory planned for Avondale, Ariz. Peggy Canevit, an experienced information technology and bedding professional, has been named director of production, IT and administration for King Koil.

Vidoli joined King Koil in 2014 as director of business development. He most recently managed corporate operations for strategic accounts for the company, and has more than 30 years in sales, marketing and operations for bedding brands including Eastman House and Simmons.

As King Koil's plant manager for its first company-owned factory, Gagnon will oversee production and facility efficiencies. Gagnon most recently was operations manager for Sherwood Bedding's Arizona facility where he helped improve the company's quality, boost production and increase profitability. Prior to that position, Gagnon worked with bedding manufacturer Southerland from 2007 until 2014. He joined the company as quality control director and also held the assistant plant manager position and later operations manager for its Phoenix facility.

In her new position, Canevit will oversee office support for the company's operations to effectively manage King Koil's inventory, scheduling and IT functions. Prior to joining King Koil, Canevit was the IT manager for luxury bedding manufacturer E.S. Kluft & Co. where she oversaw the successful implementation of SAP and was responsible for the company's inventory and materials management. Prior to that position, Canevit was with Spring Air Co. from 2001 until 2009 where she held a number of positions, advancing from sales administrator to IT project lead and computer network administrator.

Recently, King Koil announced that Ron Bruneau has joined the company as Executive Vice President of operations to lead its domestic push.

"Along with Ron, I believe Michael, Drew and Peggy round out the needed expertise in operations and plant management to lay a strong foundation for the rollout of our new growth initiatives. We are thrilled to have them on our team," said David Binke, chief executive officer of King Koil.

More about King Koil: King Koil supports more than 30 licensees in more than 90 countries where King Koil mattresses are manufactured and sold. Headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Willowbrook, Ill., the company has a long, rich history that reaches back to 1898 when Samuel Bronstein founded United States Bedding in St. Paul, Minn. What started out as six employees in a small factory has continued to grow. During the 1930s, U.S. Bedding improved the bedspring and was looking for a new name for its product. From there, the King Koil name was born. For more information, visit www.KingKoil.com.
