DHP to Unveil Mattress with Nanobionic Fabric at High Point

Furniture World News Desk on 10/11/2018

Dorel Home Products, the home furnishings division of Dorel Industries, reports that it will unveil a mattress at the October High Point Market that delivers restorative sleep to those with active lifestyles. The new mattress features Nanobionic technology in the outer mattress fabric, which restores and enhances the body’s energy, stimulates blood flow and helps to promote quality of sleep.

Nanobionic technology, which transforms body heat into invisible waves of energy called Far Infrared Rays that flow back into the body, has been in widespread use in the performance apparel industry in recent years. This DHP product launch marks the first time the cutting-edge technology has been used by Dorel in one of their leading mattress collections.

“We took a cue from the apparel industry, which has been using performance fabric like this for some time,” said Nick Fiore, vice president of sales, product development and marketing at DHP. “Deep sleep is a proven performance driver and delivers a multitude of other health benefits and it made perfect sense for us to incorporate this Nanobionic technology to our Signature Sleep mattress line,” George Psipsikas, co-founder and chief executive officer of Nanobionic Group, adds, “Nanobionic is regulated by the U.S Food & Drug Administration as medical device and general wellness product as defined in Section 201 (h) of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. When Far Infrared rays penetrate the body, it enhances recovery and the sleeper wakes more energized and ready to tackle the new day.”

In High Point, DHP will unveil their Nanobionic collection, which includes a 12-inch mattress in twin, full, queen and king sizes. The Signature Sleep Reset line is a hybrid mattress with natural Talalay latex and a layer of independently encased pocket coils, which distribute heat away from the body while minimizing motion transfer. The mattress also includes copper-infused memory foam and a layer of charcoal and gel-infused memory foam, which provide a cooler sleeping surface and acts as a natural recovery element.

“The mattresses emphasize the importance of getting a great night’s sleep and waking up energized, while readily available at a tremendous value,” Fiore said. “We’re targeting health-conscious adults of all ages who want to improve their quality of sleep and want to wake up refreshed.”

George Psipsikas, the pioneer in the development of Nanobionic technology, will headline DHP Furniture’s High Point Market launch event for the Signature Sleep Reset mattress line. Psipsikas, CEO and co-founder of Nanobionic Group, will discuss the development of the patented Nanobionic technology and explain the health benefits when used as a mattress component.

The health-focused event, which also includes three short video presentations, begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 in the DHP showroom on the 9th floor of the C&D Building. Healthy snacks, juices and smoothies will be available to the retailers, media, and bloggers in attendance.

“We’re putting the focus squarely on the importance of sleep at this event because that’s what our new Signature Sleep Reset Collection is all about,” said Nick Fiore, Vice President of Sales, Product and Marketing at DHP Furniture. “The cutting-edge Nanobionic technology in the mattress layers helps soothe tired muscles, stimulate blood flow and improve recovery time.”

The launch event will take place inside the revamped Signature Sleep display area within DHP’s High Point showroom. Renovations include new signage, mattress cut-away displays, digital screens and a variety of new educational materials explaining the benefits of Nanobionic. The event will be live-streamed on social media sites, using the hashtag #SignatureSleepReset.

DHP’s High Point showroom is space 9A of the C&D Building.
