Full line furniture manufacturer AICO/Amini Innovation Corp announced that it has hired industry veteran Richard Rae in the newly created position of VP of Sales Soft Home. Rae was most recently Senior VP of Sales and Marketing for Pacific Coast Home Furnishings. "Rich will be a major part of our growth initiative in the Soft Home arena”, said Chuck Reilly, Executive Vice President. Reilly added, “Michael Amini has grown our merchandise assortment with a talented team led by Jackie Moss, VP of Soft Home Merchandising, and recently committed further to the Michael Amini Soft Home division with a permanent showroom in New York. Michael’s commitment to the Soft Home category includes expansion into decorative pillows, window coverings, shower curtains and much more".

President Martin Ploy stated, “We are very pleased to have a team in place that can reach out beyond our traditional home furnishings distribution channels. The initial results have proven Michael Amini Soft Home is recognized with strong brand appeal to both the consumer and industry. With double digit growth this past year, we have even greater expectations for the current year, and look forward to Rich and Jackie’s execution of Michael's vision to grow this important category”.

“Having a showroom in New York has been on our radar for some time, and we’ve searched long and hard to find the right location. We are pleased to have acquired space in the industry’s premier home textiles building,” said CEO and Founder Michael Amini, “and we are confident our presence in this market will grow in both volume and presentation”.

Rae added, “I am thrilled to be with such a progressive minded company who clearly has a plan to become a major player in Soft Home”.

Rae will report to Reilly and will be showing at 295 Fifth Ave in Space 705A during this week’s Home Fashions Week in New York.
