Walker Edison Furniture's COO, Matt Davis has been chosen as the winner for Utah Business Magazine's 2015 CXO of the Year.
The CXO of the Year awards are given to Senior Executives for outstanding performance in their roles. The selected CXOs from small, medium, large, public, private and government agencies, demonstrate the importance of providing strong financial leadership, visionary innovation as well as social responsibility to Utah businesses.
Matt Davis, co-owner of Walker Edison, responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term growth of the company, joined Walker Edison in 2007. “My role as COO is to bridge the gap between a wide range of personalities and connect departments and people at a level where the organization flourishes,” states Davis. “I take Walker Edison’s motto to heart and truly think ‘outside the box’ which helps me to address challenges creatively and with a fresh perspective.” Most recently Matt was key in establishing Walker Edison’s relationship with designer Angelo Surmelis, which resulted in a partnership and the introduction of angelo:HOME apartment AH collection. This takes their RTA product line to the next level and associates the brand with a designer who really thinks and designs outside the box.
“Matt is an integral element to the success of this company,” exclaims Brad Bonham, CEO. “His strength of bringing key stakeholders to this organization is producing more value for this company every year. Since coming on board Matt has been central in cultivating new relationships with vendors and designers.”
The recipients will be recognized at an awards event and luncheon held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT. These honorees will be featured in the June issue of Utah Business magazine with the cover photo featuring Davis in a chic setting of Walker Edison's RTA furniture.
