Jerome’s Furniture Names Brian Woods New CEO

Jerome’s Furniture, Southern California’s retailer for more than 60 years, announced recently the hiring of Brian Woods as its CEO, effective September 7, 2016.
He brings more than 20 years of progressive operations, merchandising, marketing and P&L leadership for multi-billion dollar "big box" retailers.

Prior to joining Jerome’s, Woods served as President and Chief Merchandising Officer of Haynes Furniture, where he repositioned this #34 ranked furniture retailer and turned the company from years of sales declines to significant top line growth and profitability improvements. Prior to that, he was the Executive Vice President of Sales for American Signature Furniture. In this position, he defined a new brand strategy, assortment and in-store experience that transformed the company by differentiating the value proposition in the industry. The result was double-digit sales increases, margin improvement and significantly higher close rates. Woods started his career in 1992 with CompUSA in a technical services role and ultimately rose to the role of Executive Vice President and General Merchandising and Marketing in 2003.
