Mattress manufacturer King Koil recently announced that it has named two experienced sales managers to its growing team to implement the new domestic manufacturing and sales strategy announced earlier this year. Both new hires were most recently at luxury bedding manufacturer E.S. Kluft & Co. and previously worked with King Koil’s CEO David Binke.

David Simpson and Al Dambrauskas have joined King Koil as regional sales managers and will work to expand the bedding manufacturer’s retail reach under the shift from a licensing organization to a manufacturing platform. Simpson and Dambrauskas join Howard Galant, who was named executive vice president of sales for the Western Division, on the sales team.

“We’re building a team of extremely professional sales leaders as we roll out our new business focus to become the leading domestic manufacturer,” Binke said. “Both David and Al have strong relationships with our retail partners, are well respected within the industry and understand the King Koil brand direction. We look forward to their contributions to our team.”

Prior to joining King Koil, Simpson, a 21-year veteran of the bedding industry, was regional sales manager for E.S. Kluft in the West. He joined E.S. Kluft in 2009 as a key account manager and was promoted in 2017. Simpson entered the bedding industry in 1997 as a sales representative for Spring Air. During his 12-year tenure with the company, he held a number of positions including director of sales and regional sales manager.

Dambrauskas was a key account manager with E.S. Kluft in the Denver area before joining King Koil. With more than 19 years in the bedding industry, Dambrauskas has held sales and sales manager positions with leading brands like Sealy, Spring Air, Southerland and Simmons. He joined Simmons in 1999 as director of national accounts. In 2006, he was named regional sales manager for Southerland. At Spring Air, he was territory manager for two years, and from 2009 until 2017, Dambrauskas was senior territory manager for Sealy.

More about King Koil: A global mattress manufacturer, King Koil supports more than 30 licensees in more than 90 countries where King Koil mattresses are manufactured and sold. Headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Willowbrook, Illinois, the company has a long, rich history that reaches back to 1898 when Samuel Bronstein founded United States Bedding in St. Paul, Minnesota. What started out as six employees in a small factory has continued to grow. During the 1930s, U.S. Bedding improved the bedspring and was looking for a new name for its product. From there, the King Koil name was born. For more information, visit www.KingKoil.com.
