In making the appointment, Russell Bienenstock, President of the Board commented, "I am pleased to have these two extremely talented, capable, and visionary women join the Library board. They are well connected and accomplished individuals who have a passion for helping the library achieve its mission. As the library continues to evolve with new technologies to meet the changing needs of its users, fresh blood will bring us new perspectives and fresh energy. The Furniture Library has always been the best resource for learning about our industry and the history behind it. Our focus now is making our resources more available."

Her marketing credentials and leadership skills will help us to achieve our goals."

Wear was equally enthusiastic. "I am very excited and honored to be on the board and am looking forward to working with the team, sharing my thoughts and contributing where I can. I admire the mission of the Library to promote research, design and collaboration in our industry. I want to extend this mission to the next generation of furniture aficionados," she said.

Libby Langdon is an Interior designer, author, product designer and makeover television personality, and the creative force behind New York City-based design firm, Libby Interiors, Inc. Langdon's residential and commercial projects embodying her easy, elegant, everyday style have won industry acclaim and she is fast becoming known for her growing collections of branded home furnishings collections.

Russell Bienenstock said, "Libby is well known and respected. She has been a regular design expert on NBC's TODAY Show, HGTV's Small Space, Big Style, The View, The Rachael Ray Show, The Early Show and NBC's Open House. Her celebrity and fresh ideas will help us to raise awareness and communicate our message."

Langdon added, "I am actually a native of High Point so I grew up with the home furnishings industry in my blood. As an interior designer, I see the Bienenstock Library as an amazing place to discover total home inspiration and as a product designer, it's invaluable to learn all sorts of construction and finish information and timeless innovation. I've spoken to graduating interior design classes on several occasions at the BBFL, it's imperative that people in this great business of ours, no matter age or job title, see the possibilities and vitality that can be discovered there. I so look forward to this opportunity to give something back."
