Tupelo Market “Mattress Mania” Offers Retailers Sales, Speakers and Product Demonstrations

The Tupelo Furniture Market recently announced plans to hold the 3rd Mattress Mania event during their 60th biannual furniture trade show, January 5 - 8.

Retail bedding sales are predicted to hit $16.1 billion by 2018, a 15.8% increase over the 2013 mark. The Tupelo Furniture Market is one of the larger furniture trade events in the United States; however, in recent years the market has quietly added more than 40 bedding manufacturers to its base of exhibiting companies, and the January event will showcase the largest number of mattress and bedding companies east of the Mississippi River. Bedding companies once again have been asked to develop “one-of-a-kind” show promotions to create “mania” in Tupelo! Special bedding product demonstrations will be offered in building 4 of the facility by leading manufacturers and David Perry, Furniture Today’s bedding editor will speak to market attendees on Thursday morning, January 5 in building 6.

“The Tupelo market’s Mattress Mania promotion offers more than ever before,” said Kevin J. Seddon, president of the furniture market. “There is no doubt that Tupelo has become a leading showcase for bedding and we are working closely with our manufacturers to be sure and offer retailers plenty of buying specials and opportunities to learn about new and innovative products that can increase their bottom line.”

According to Seddon, more than 40 bedding companies will exhibit in Tupelo again in January. Just some of the companies participating in the Mattress Mania promotion include Symbol Mattress, Restonic Sleep Products, Capital Bedding, Eclipse, Serta, Simmons, Cassady Closeouts, Mlily, Bed Boss, Malouf, Sleeptronic/King Koil of Texas, Emerald Sleep Systems and Brooklyn Bedding. Serta, Simmons, Sleeptronic/King Koil of Texas, Eclipse, Restonic Sleep Products and W. Silver will be holding product demonstrations in building 4 each day of the market.
