The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA NY) reports that it will hold an event on "The Influence and Impact of Color on Home Decor" with a keynote presentation by Tamara Matthews-Stephenson, a residential interior designer, freelance writer and product designer with Root Cellar Designs. She is also the talent behind the popular blog, Nest by Tamara. The event will be held in conjunction with NY NOW at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Monday, February 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Room 1A 01, Lower Level.

The keynote presentation will focus on how color choices influence the mood in our home and how color
inspires and transforms our interior design. Tamara will also discuss trends on the horizon, the movements of combining and layering color and texture, how the latest technologies influence color and where we are headed for 2017.

Throughout her presentation you will see inspirations from her travels to Heimtextil in Frankfurt, Deco Off and Maison & Objet in Paris, High Point Market and Mercanteinfiera in Parma, Italy. Images and trends gleaned from fashion shows, pop-up shops, street art, gallery openings and book signings from her recent trips to London and Paris will also be shared.
