Legends Home recently announced the addition of David Reitz as a business partner and head of Sales & Business Development. With more than 25 years of global business leadership, Reitz brings a collaborative, customer-focused approach to driving growth paired with a deep-rooted passion for powering the American manufacturing engine.

Reitz is an experienced business leader and advisor who has helped grow organizations across industries, functions, and geographies. Most ecently, Reitz led three acquisitions, integrations and development of Tide Cleaners Connecticut. Prior, he served as CEO and Subsidiary Director of Inventec Performance Chemicals USA, where he oversaw the company’s U.S. market operations and led its successful U.S. market entry in 2014 — establishing it as a critical footprint for the global organization.

Earlier in his career, Reitz held leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, where he worked across general management, corporate finance, and marketing. He also served as a senior corporate engineer at Cooper Tire, advising executives across the U.S., Mexico, and the U.K. on operational integration, plant expansions, labor negotiations, and lean manufacturing.

“Furniture is part of my story, as my family moved to the US in the early 19th century to work at a furniture factory in Cleveland, OH,” said Reitz. “In some ways, this opportunity feels like coming home. Joining Legends Home was not just a business decision — it was a chance to support a brand that is making memories happen, values doing the right thing for the customer and its people, and has a clear commitment to local craftsmanship.”

Reitz’s decision to join Legends Home was also influenced by his long-time friendship with CEO Chris Dockter. “Chris and I share a common belief in building something lasting and meaningful,” Reitz added. “Legends Home represents tradition, community, and quality — the values I covet.”

Together, Reitz and Dockter aim to honor Legends Home’s legacy while accelerating innovation and strategic growth in today’s dynamic market.

Reitz holds an MBA in Global Management and Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toledo, where he conducted pioneering research on sustainability in manufacturing. He continues to engage with the sustainability and ESG communities, serving on several nonprofit and for-profit boards, including Conscious Capitalism and ManufactureCT, and previously GreenAmerica and GreenSeal Alliance.
