Polish furniture manufacturers are expanding their footprint in the U.S. market, with products now available in numerous nationwide retail chains and online platforms. During the April High Point Market, April 26–30, manufacturers will showcase product offerings from over a dozen Polish producers at the Commerce & Design building - 5H.
Poland is currently the fourth-largest furniture exporter globally and ranks third in Europe. According to the “2025 Polish Furniture Outlook,” U.S. consumers are drawn to Polish furniture for its quality, design, and adaptability to various living spaces.
“Polish furniture is often found in American homes. It has become increasingly accessible to American consumers. We are systematically expanding our distribution network in the USA. Our products can be found in well-known nationwide retail chains,” said Tomasz Wiktorski of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers. “We are constantly working in order to fit in as best we can with the US market. Achieving a stable position in the United States requires a flexible approach, but the Polish furniture industry is ready for this step.
"Polish furniture products sold in the U.S. reflect European design aesthetics at prices aimed to remain competitive. Manufacturers have responded to demand by offering items that align with market preferences and trends. Products are also designed to appeal to Americans of European descent seeking to incorporate elements of their heritage into their home interiors.
"E-commerce is a significant component of Poland’s furniture sector, with many items packaged for efficient national and international shipping. Polish producers focus on quality control, using certified materials and modern manufacturing techniques.
“We are breaking stereotypes by proving it is possible to sell high-quality boxed furniture. Our products are designed to be shipped via online distribution networks to easily reach far-off corners of the world,” Wiktorski added. “Anyone involved in online trading should familiarize themselves with the product range of Polish furniture manufacturers. Using Polish suppliers also ensures American businesses additional security in the face of global challenges, such as pandemics or military conflicts, which can disrupt supply chains.”
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) organized the High Point Market pavilion for companies to engage with international buyers and gain market insight. Several companies will exhibit independently, while others will participate under the PAIH umbrella.
“PAIH is a State agency that conducts numerous promotional initiatives for the Polish furniture industry,” said Bartosz Ossowski, an Expert in PAIH’s European Projects Department. Among other activities, it organizes Polish National Stands at major industry events around the globe. The Polish National Stand (C&D 5-H showroom) at High Point Market gives Polish furniture manufacturers a dedicated space to do business and connect with international partners. They will also receive factual support with respect to conducting business in the US market. Every Polish company is free to join us.”
He further noted that PAIH’s participation is part of the “Internationalization of SMEs—Brand HUB” project, conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. The initiative is funded by the “European Funds for a Smart Economy 2021–2027” programme. It aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in increasing their export activities through sectoral promotion efforts under the Polish Economy Brand: “Poland. Business Forward.”
