Spectra Home has named the Leo Chair from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection as the winner of its Great Accent Chair Challenge, a customer-voted competition held during the Spring High Point Market. The event invited showroom visitors to vote on their favorite among three top-selling accent chairs, with each vote contributing to a donation to The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation.
The Meyer Chair, also from the Tamara Day collection, was a close second, followed by the Walker Chair from the Spectra Home line. All three were on display in the company’s showroom, and participants were encouraged to share feedback as part of their vote.
Market guests cited the Leo Chair’s “clean lines and gorgeous luxury fabric” and its antique brass metal frame as reasons for their selection. The Meyer Chair was praised for the “functional and unexpected” brass arm accents and its combination of brass, wood, and comfort. The Walker Chair earned votes for its “timeless style with a modern touch.”
“I want to thank everyone who voted for their favorite accent chair,” said Jim Telleysh, President of Spectra Home. “I was happy but not surprised that Leo was the winner. It is one of our best sellers, along with the Meyer chair. The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation was the real winner because we donated to them for every accent chair entry received in the Great Accent Chair Challenge.”
In addition to per-vote donations, Spectra Home is also contributing a portion of proceeds from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection to the Foundation.
The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation provides confidential financial grants to individuals in the furnishings and design industry who are battling breast cancer. These grants help cover living expenses and medical-related needs, with the goal of supporting recipients during treatment.
“To help more, we are also donating a portion of the proceeds from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection to the Foundation,” Telleysh added. “We hope that our support will ease the burden that families are experiencing.”
