Magniflex, Italy’s largest premium mattress manufacturer, reported that it continues to expand its U.S. operations with a new Miami warehouse. Located in Doral, the facility will serve as the company’s only U.S. location where mattresses and sleep accessories are housed and shipped to its growing North American dealer network and will shave delivery costs and time by 50 percent. The company plans to begin shipping mattresses from this location starting March 2013.
This past January, Magniflex reaffirmed its commitment to the U.S. market by hiring home furnishings veteran Billy Curtright as its U.S. national sales manager to cultivate more retail relationships in metropolitan markets throughout North America.
“As we introduce our innovative product line to more North American retailers, we felt Miami was the logical place to set up shop,” said Magniflex U.S. President Marco Magni. “The city’s vibrant design culture aligns well with our international sleep products. This location also allows us to offer our mattresses and accessories to specialty furniture stores with international clientele from Latin America cost-effectively in a faster amount of time and provide the excellent service our customers in 80 countries have come to expect.”
Magniflex was founded over 50 years ago in a suburb of Florence, Italy, and today more than 35 million people in 80 countries sleep on Magniflex mattresses. Known as a world leader in quality, comfort and innovation, Magniflex was the first mattress company in the world to gain certifications from Oeko Tex.
The company’s central manufacturing facility produces up to 10,000 mattresses a day, 80 percent of which are exported to countries such as Japan, Spain, Germany, Russia, the United States and Canada. For more information, visit
