Industry Veteran Tom Burke Joins Tomlinson

Tomlinson announced that industry veteran Tom Burke has joined the company as Vice President of Sales and will be based in the company’s Thomasville, NC headquarters. His work will encompass all four of the company’s divisions – Tomlinson, Erwin Lambeth, Directional and Carter.

The Tomlinson sales force will report to Burke and he will work with the company’s current customers as well as developing new accounts. He will also serve as an advisor to Rod Lambeth, CEO of Tomlinson.

Burke comes to Tomlinson from Theodore Alexander where he was Vice President of Upholstery Sales and was instrumental in helping the company develop their upholstery line. Prior to Theodore Alexander, he was Vice President of Sales for TRS Furniture & Textiles for more than 20 years.

The four divisions of Tomlinson – Tomlinson, Erwin Lambeth, Directional and Carter – comprise a range of styling and price points. Carter offers value price points on contemporary offerings with a sometimes whimsical or edgy feel. Directional is classic contemporary. Tomlinson has a softer, sophisticated vibe with superb tailoring and comfort. Erwin Lambeth is the very top of the line. All four divisions do COM and custom work and focus on exquisite seating.
