Cresent Fine Furniture Redesigns Website, Enhances POP Materials

Furniture World News Desk on 4/9/2016

Solid wood case goods supplier Cresent Fine Furniture reports that it has unveiled its redesigned website along with updated sales and marketing materials for its retail partners.

The new website is optimized for mobile access, and offers users easy-to-use navigation from its streamlined home page. The new design allows site visitors to uncover product information quickly and seamlessly. Furniture can be searched via room, item or collection name, and room photography is large and crisp allowing users to view styles and finishes in lifestyle settings.

Cresent specializes in two style genres — Cresent Classics and Cresent Contemporary — and offers 12 collections within the style categories. Within each collection and category, thumbnail images can be enlarged to show features, specifications and options. Videos and consumer reviews showcase all aspects of the Cresent product line.

“As the consumer shopping experience continues to shift to mobile, our online experience needs to keep pace including easy social media sharing,” said Richard Tomkins, director of sales and marketing for the company. “We’ve designed the new site to integrate with the dominant social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Houzz and YouTube.”

Other features on the website include a searchable “Where to Buy” tab for consumers to use in locating a retailer near their zip code, and a company blog where visitors can stay abreast of style trends, retailer events, furniture care tips and more.

The site has been updated to include an “About Us” page telling the family-owned company’s nearly 70-year history, and its evolution from a specialist in 18th Century reproductions to today’s range of lifestyles ranging from transitional to casual to updated traditional designs.

In addition to the website update, Cresent has revamped its point-of-purchase signage for retail display. The new marketing materials showcase the company’s craftsmanship, construction features and family involvement in the business.

“We know furniture retailers are looking for a good story that is easy to understand and features better quality merchandise,” Tomkins said. “Our focus on making solid wood furniture since 1947 is an easy story to tell.”

Cresent will offer retailers tours of the new website in the café in its High Point Market showroom, 201 220 Elm (street level) beginning Thursday, April 14.
