Accent furniture specialist Furniture Classics reports that it is celebrating its 25th Anniversary during this spring’s High Point Furniture Market. Over the course of the market, Furniture Classics has a number of events and specials planned to commemorate this milestone.
Founded in 1999 by current C.E.O. Doug Ricks, Furniture Classics was a pioneer in solid mahogany English reproduction furniture from Indonesia. According to Ricks, the company was “founded with a desire to provide quality furniture at highly competitive pricing, a philosophy we stand by to this very day.”
In 2002, Ricks’ son Michael left the practice of law to join the growing family business. After a number of years learning all aspects of the business, from unloading containers to making deliveries to customers, the younger Ricks was appointed president, a title he holds today.
“Over the course of the past 25 years, Furniture Classics has continued to evolve by expanding manufacturing across Asia, consolidating our distribution center and offices, and offering a broad selection of product that covers a wide range of styles and designs,” said Michael Ricks. “Our dedication and strong relationships with our customers, sales representatives and employees are our number one priority each and every day.”
Furniture Classics has permanent showrooms in High Point at Showplace (Space 2401) and in Atlanta and Americas Mart (Space 13-F-11) along with a 200,000 square foot distribution center in Norfolk, Virginia. In addition to the anniversary specials being offered during market, Furniture Classics will be hosting a reception Monday evening in their showroom to celebrate this occasion. These celebrations and specials will continue throughout the year.
