Maxwood Furniture Inc. announced recently that it is opening its first “Maxtrix Kids Rooms” concept store later this summer. The new store will be independently operated through a franchise agreement with an independent retail professional. The 2,500-square-foot, newly renovated space is located in Mount Pleasant, S.C., and will serve as a blueprint retail concept that has already attracted several potential franchisees in other major metropolitan areas in both the United States and Canada.
“We want to be a real partner with our retailers and this space allows us to develop and continuously optimize a blueprint of how to display the Maxtrix products for greatest sales success,” said Anne Jensen, Maxwood’s marketing director. “With about 4 million babies born in the United States each year, and the real estate market recovering, the children’s furniture market is healthy and growing, and our goal is to help our retailers and franchisees take advantage of that opportunity in an efficient and effective way.”
As part of the effort, various in-store touchpoints and new marketing materials are being developed, all designed to educate about and showcase the unique features of Maxtrix - the world’s largest kids furniture system. The showroom will also be used as an event space for designers, bloggers and retailers, and become the backdrop for content creation such as photo shoots for the company’s various websites and social media accounts.
The building that houses the concept store is also home to Maxwood Furniture headquarters, so potential retail partners can experience both, the new store concept and Maxwood’s customer service and product development center. A large conference room has been designed adjacent to the retail space to foster collaboration and idea exchanges.
The Maxtrix kid's furniture system is designed to grow up with your child. Made to last from solid hardwood, Maxtrix beds can easily be changed with simple conversion kits, so you can optimize the space, design and fun factor at every stage of your child’s development from toddler through tween to teen.
Maxtrix is the company’s flagship brand and the new showroom will showcase multiple ideas and solutions from toddler beds to loft and bunk beds plus matching furniture pieces like desks, chairs, dressers and bookshelves. The company’s other brands - Craft and Jackpot - will also be featured in order to serve all segments of the Kids and Youth furniture category.
