Malouf Celebrates 15 Years

Malouf recently announced that it celebrated its 15-year anniversary on Aug. 22, marking another milestone in the company’s growing success. Founded by newly married college students Sam and Kacie Malouf in 2003, Malouf has experienced substantial growth and fostered strong partnerships with over 10,000 specialty sleep stores nationwide.

“Early in our marriage, Kacie and I went sheet shopping and were surprised at the cost of sheets that really weren’t that nice,” Sam shared. “That experience is what sparked our interest in producing high-quality bedding at an affordable price.”

The first Malouf warehouse was the bed of Sam’s Ford Ranger, he joked. Today, Malouf distribution centers total 3.5 million square feet and are in Utah, Ohio, North Carolina and Texas.

“Our success comes from our people,” Sam said. “After hiring our first full-time employee in 2010, we saw what new and diverse ideas could bring to the company. Today, we continue to grow and improve thanks to the contribution of our people.” Malouf is now a second home to more than 300 employees—and growing quickly.

Malouf also plans to continue promoting the Malouf Foundation and its flagship cause to fight child sex trafficking.

Established in 2016, the Malouf Foundation has raised more than $300,000 to rescue and support child survivors. “We have seen an amazing increase in awareness and involvement within the last year,” Sam said. “Our industry partners have become powerful advocates in this cause to save children trapped in the sexual exploitation cycle.”
