Las Vegas Market announced that it will host a Design Icon Retrospective during Winter 2019 Las Vegas Market, running Jan. 27 – Jan. 31, 2019. The event will feature five former award recipients – Roger Thomas, Timothy Corrigan, Larry Laslo, Christopher Guy Harrison and Vladimir Kagan, represented by Christopher Eitel – who will discuss the design industry over the last decade and what the future holds for them.

“Las Vegas Market welcomes these former Design Icon Award honorees to Winter Market to celebrate their past successes and learn about future endeavors,” said Dorothy Belshaw, executive vice president, chief marketing and digital officer, International Market Centers. “These interior designers and architects continue to push boundaries and change the industry for the better, serving as an inspiration to today’s designers.”

The Las Vegas Market Design Icon Award honors an interior designer or architect who has made a significant contribution to the industry throughout their career. Now in its 14th year, the award highlights the achievements of exemplary design and architectural professionals and offers Las Vegas Market attendees an opportunity to connect with and learn firsthand from living legends.

The 2019 Design Icon Retrospective will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29 in WorldView on Sixteen in Building B, and is open to all Las Vegas Market attendees and exhibitors. Previous recipients include: Frank Gehry, Timothy Corrigan, Thomas Pheasant, Carleton Varney, Barbara Barry, Alexa Hampton, Jamie Drake, Christopher Guy Harrison, Juan Montoya, Vincente Wolf, Roger Thomas, Larry Laslo and Vladimir Kagan.

A private reception honoring the Design Icons will be held Monday evening, prior to the presentation on Tuesday. The reception will be sponsored by Las Vegas Market and various market exhibitors.
