Connie Post, a well known designer, captured a vision of emotions with "Pink Peony" during her fight with breast cancer in the summer of 2017.  This new rug manufactured by Rizzy Home was introduced in late 2018 at the Las Vegas Home Furnishings Market and is endorsed by City of Hope for Breast Cancer Awareness.

“Imagery however vague or clear revealed feelings and thoughts as I faced a life-changing medical issue, breast cancer. So tied to my identity, these emotions are expressed in my Pink Peony rug," professes Connie.  I was drawn to peonies, these fragile, precious flowers, for paralleling their complicity with the complicity of a woman’s life.  Also symbolic of "good luck and prosperity" the peony is the perfect representation for the moment you hear you are cancer free.

Pink Peony is blended New Zealand wool and machine made with hand cuts to create a sculptured surface of highs and lows so indictive of a cancer treatment journey. Shades of pinks and grey supported by a calming cream backdrop completes its inspiration.

Pink Peony is available in various sizes and sold thru major retailers nationwide who have committed to making a charitable donation to cancer awareness. Rizzy Home, the manufacturer of this beautiful rug is pledging a donation to City of Home for each rug sold. City of Home's annual golf tournament fundraiser will auction off an 8 X 10 Pink Peony Rug donated by Rizzy Home. Connie will share her story at the auction in California. "We are so proud to participate in such a worthy effort. “Connie's portrayal of courage and determination are matched only by her design talents and compassion,” said Steve Roan, Director of the Americas for Rizzy Home.
