Witherell Re-Joins HSM As VP & GM of Bedding Products

HSM announced that it has named veteran home furnishings executive Tim Witherell to the newly created position of vice president and general manager of HSM Bedding Products.

Witherell is rejoining HSM, where he previously spent six years in a variety of sales, marketing and product development posts and was awarded several U.S. patents for product innovation. He left HSM briefly in January 2019 to become executive vice president of mattress ticking supplier Creative Ticking, where he was responsible for sales, marketing, design and product development.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than nine years as national accounts manager for the home furnishings division of Nomaco, a North Carolina-based foam producer.

In his new post at HSM, he will oversee sales, product development and manufacturing at five HSM Bedding locations that are part of the company’s Hickory Springs division. He reports to Michael Hinshaw, chief operating officer of HSM.

His deep bedding industry knowledge, leadership skills and previous experience in many facets of our business will enable him to make immediate contributions,” said Hinshaw. “He is part of a strong leadership team that enables us to keep up with this rapidly-changing industry.”

A resident of the Charlotte, North Carolina area, Witherell is a graduate of Appalachian State University.
