New Furniture Mall coming to Austin Texas

Furniture Mall of Kansas recently announced a new location opening in Austin, Texas. After closing on a location in Austin Texas, Jeff Winter, Co-owner of the Furniture Mall of Kansas Retail stores jokes,“We’re not in Kansas Anymore”. With two successful Furniture Mall locations, one in the Capital City Topeka and one in the greater Kansas City market, the Winter Family now looks to open their next location in Austin.

The owners of Furniture Mall of Kansas; Jeff and Jamie Winter are the 3rd generation of the Winter family to operate furniture stores in Kansas.  They launched the furniture mall of Kansas concept in Topeka in 2013 and Kansas City in 2015.  This concept offers Big selection including highly recognized brands to Furniture Mall Exclusive products that will cover almost every price point from good, to better, and best.

Why Austin Texas? A recent partnership with the local Austin retailer, Austin Couch Potatoes gave the Winter Family this unique opportunity to bring the Furniture Mall experience to Austin.   Austin Couch Potato Owners, Brian Morgan, Dan Anthony, and Travis Morgan who started their retail stores in 2010 with unique Austin flare, will bring knowledge of the Austin Market and combined Distribution.

The new store plans to Open the Summer of 2020.  Jamie Winter, who lived in the Greater Austin area for over 10 years, commented “Austin is one of the fastest growing and most unique markets in the country, and we’re excited to bring a new type of customer experience and style to the Austin market.”  The Furniture Mall is exactly what it claims to be, a MALL offering over 100,000 square feet of furniture, mattresses, flooring and Home Accents.  

Martin Roberts was instrumental in the design of the Furniture Mall of Kansas location and will help design a world class Furniture Mall of Texas Location.
