Sam Moore Unveils 5 New Textile Trends for High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 10/14/2021

Sam Moore announces it will unveil five new textile trends that will be incorporated throughout all its lines in its newest introductions at the October High Point Market. Influenced by the internationally acclaimed Showtime Textile Market, the company curated the trends to be showcased throughout its collection of products on display this fall that play into a growing consumer desire for modern looks paired with comfortability.

The five color themes – highlighted by an abundance of earth tones and bright pops of color – include “Nature’s Majesty,” “Spice, Spice Baby,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Whimsical” and “Soft Deco.” Each is presented in vignettes throughout the Sam Moore showroom in coordinated colors, patterns, and textures.

From “earthy” greens and “exotic” animal prints to seas of blue and modern mixes of grey, the five trend-inspired vignettes will be prominently present across dozens of silhouettes and a variety of best-selling pieces. Highlights of the color trends include the prominence of nature, combining organic blues and greens that represent the sky and foliage in its textiles. Bright, lively hues with floral inspiration as well as animal prints are also incorporated, representing the consumer’s desire to bring our living spaces back to life.

“As a leader in fashion upholstery, it’s important for us to provide our retail and interior design customers with a variety of colors, patterns and textures, along with the daily-wear attributes and sustainable options that have become so popular among upholstered furniture,” said Sandi Mowry, vice president of sales and merchandising for Sam Moore.

Texture trends include cut velvet, boucle, and shearling — all warm fabrics that represent key trends in both comfort and style. This fall, the Sam Moore showroom will incorporate these popular textures consisting of materials that are soft and cozy to inspire bold combinations and expressive rooms.

As the performance fabric category continues to gain momentum with consumers, Sam Moore is also expanding its performance fabric offerings with a new linen from an eco-friendly resource, among other new introductions.

The new styles will be showcased across a variety of new sofas, sectionals, swivel chairs, club chairs, exposed wood chairs, wing chairs and recliners in Sam Moore’s High Point showroom, located at IHFC - C1058, Commerce, Floor 10.

About Sam Moore Furniture

Sam Moore Furniture is a leader in crafting quality, custom upholstery. In 1940, a young Sam Moore and four of his friends bought the Delaware Chair Company in Delaware, Ohio. A tough economy and a looming war forced Sam to relocate. The company moved south to Christiansburg, Virginia in 1943 and to its current home in Bedford, Virginia in 1960. Through the years, the company expanded to a 300,000-square-foot facility that is a balanced blend of state-of-the-art technology and hand craftsmanship. In 2007, Sam Moore was acquired by Martinsville, Virginia-based Hooker Furniture, one of the world's largest and most respected furniture companies, founded over 90 years ago in 1924. Just like Sam Moore, Hooker is known for quality furnishings of exceptional value.
