Pelican Reef Inc. Promotes Carlos Oliva to Vice President of Operations

Pelican Reef Wicker, a manufacturer and distributor of quality, indoor wicker and rattan furniture with a focus on outdoor woven furniture branded Panama Jack Outdoor, announced the promotion of Carlos Oliva to Vice President of Operations.

“Growing with the Pelican Reef family has been full of wonderful experiences over the past 17 years, and I am looking forward to this next evolution and the years to come,” Oliva said. “Our existing team has some of the most talented and dedicated individuals who believe in the brand, the company, and who are like an extended family. When the executive team presented me with the opportunity to continue growing with the Pelican Reef team, I was so excited for the opportunity and humbled by their support.”

Carlos’s experience as Director of E-commerce for the company, being involved with different divisions, and growing from customer service to now Vice President of Operations has occurred over the last 17 years. Carlos has been critical in guiding us through the Tariff challenges of 2019, and the Pandemic of 2020.    His ability to implement systems and procedures throughout the company has been a core strength of the brand for Pelican Reef’s efficiencies.

Carlos joined Pelican Reef in 2004 as an order entry clerk in customer service. Oliva earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Florida International University. He also has his Sigma Six Black Belt Certification, and Business Management Certification from MDC.

Oliva will also serve on the executive team, which includes CEO Allen Calzadilla, President Mayleen Chadwick, and VP of Finance Lien Alvarez.
