Koelnmesse recently announced that it is expanding its Asian activities with a new partnership with The International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong. The trade fair claims to put an audience with a passion for design directly in contact with exhibitors, thereby making IDFFHK the ideal addition to imm cologne’s activities in Asia. The first joint event will take place in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25 to 27 August 2017.
imm cologne is the leading international trade fair for the interior design industry. In order to live up to this claim and to continue to build on it, the organizing team is further intensifying its overseas activities. The cooperation with IDFFHK opens up access to a new market segment for imm cologne: high-end design and lifestyle products by Asian companies. “IDFFHK already has tremendous appeal in the Chinese and Asian markets,” said Arne Petersen, Vice President Trade Fair Management at Koelnmesse. “We are firmly convinced that, together with our Asian partners, we can make it even more attractive. In collaboration with IDFFHK, we want to bring together the best architects, designers and products together under one roof in and for the Chinese market.”

The world of international design gathers in Cologne at platforms such as the Pure and Pure Editions segments, whilst numerous satellite events and cooperations, including the IDFFHK collaboration, ensure global recognition: they strengthen the leading trade fairs in Cologne and bring new groups of exhibitors and visitors to the exhibition centre beside the Rhine. Koelnmesse already has a presence in China at many events: China Kids Expo, China International Kitchen and Bathroom Expo (CIKB) and interzum guangzhou.
