Uni0n Furniture Company, Jamestown, NY

Post New Topic

I have a dining room set (table, six chairs, buffet, china cabinet and server) that has a metal plate with Union Furniture Company, Jamestown New York on the back of the buffet. I believe this company was started about 1900 and was making furniture at least until 1930. Does anyone have any information about them? Did they become part of Union National? My furniture is dark wood and has no fancy inlays as described in the info about Union National. We are curious about the history of this set. Any help will be appreciated.

We are moving and want to sell these pieces and would appreciate any feedback as to who I should contact with value and who might be interested in buying.

Wednesday I found a Union National curved 3 drawer cabinet on the side of the road for the trash. It was all in good shape except for the very top where someone had laid can drinks on; leaving rings here and there. Is it worth cleaning up and keeping?

We just purchased a Union Furniture Company, Jamestown, NY china buffet or cabinet. The style, to me looks as if it was made in the 1940's. I tried looking up the company, but with no luck. Can anyone give me some background on this company such as when in business and if still in business? We love older furniture and know we will enjoy owning this piece which is approximately 65"tallx36"widex14.5"deep. It is made out of oak with a rounded front and three long panels of glass including the door. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
