Fine Furniture Design™, a producer of finely crafted bedroom, dining room, occasional, entertainment, casual dining and upholstered furniture, announced that it is moving to a new, larger showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center for the October High Point Market.

The company, which previously exhibited in the Union Square building, now will show in Space 800 of the Wrenn wing of the IHFC, a showroom formerly occupied by Hickory Chair. Fine Furniture Design’s new showroom is 21,000 square feet – 50 percent bigger than its previous location.

“We are very excited to invite members of the trade to visit our new location in October,” said Ted Philpott, President and CEO.  “Because the IHFC is such a heavily trafficked area, we anticipate an increase in showroom visitors by somewhere in the 20 percent range.”

Jim Adams, Vice President of Product Design and Marketing, said that the new showroom space has an updated, cosmopolitan feel that will complement the latest collections from Fine Furniture Design, known for its bold, stately furnishings. The design firm of Don Hekhuis and Associates created the new showroom look, which includes fresh colors and flooring that reflect the latest interior design trends.

The showroom will be divided into room vignettes, with the new transitionally styled Proximity collection greeting visitors as they enter the showroom. Across the hallway, the company will showcase the new, traditionally styled Highlands collection.

The popular Protégé line of contemporary and traditional decorative seating will debut about 15 new frames and occupy the center space of the showroom. Toward the rear of the new showroom, the company will be making a major statement in the casual living field with its new Summer Home collection, a mix of coastal, lodge and casual designs.

In total, Fine Furniture Design will feature more than 100 new wood and upholstered items at the High Point Market.

“Buyers will find strong values in our three new collections,” said Adams. “There is a general sense that people are interested in buying better quality merchandise. We are offering better looks, designs and finishes, which means we are offering more than just a compelling price point to our customers. Fine Furniture Design™ prides itself on offering compelling value.”

Fine Furniture Design will hold a grand-opening celebration on October 16 beginning at 5:30 PM. Members of the press are cordially invited to attend.
