Furniture First buying group announced that it has a new High Point showroom and location. The new showroom is in the same building – the Radio Building at 164 S. Main Street – but is now on the Second Floor. The Second Floor’s updated and spacious layout serves as more than just a product showcase; Furniture First offers its Members a business resource center with computers, printers, copier and fax machine. A meeting room allows Furniture First to hold committee meetings, focus groups and presentations, and Members often gather for peer-to-peer networking over refreshments.
This April, the showroom features the new Mattress 1st Superior Living Collection. This line of specialty mattresses uses advanced comfort technologies, such as Temperature-Neutral Memory Foam and Talalay Latex Foam. Following the success of the Mattress 1st innerspring lineup, Furniture First Members can expect an equally exciting product. Some of the collection’s highlights include soft luxurious fabrics, deep down specialty feels, and upscale microsuede borders at unbeatable prices.
The new showroom will also be the venue for a variety of members-only meetings and seminars. Among these are an informational session on energy-efficient LED showroom light bulbs, a discussion about Market Share Analysis, a presentation about in-store signage, a meeting of Furniture First’s Mattress Committee, and a discussion of the “Best In Show” items seen at Market.
Furniture First will hold its General Membership Meeting in the IHFC Ballroom, during which the buying group’s staff and Members will share useful retail news and information. Topics to be covered include a report on the success of the private label mattress line, a panel discussion on using social media in a retail setting, and an update on Furniture First’s Protection 1st program. The annual Board of Directors election will conclude the meeting.
