Sofa Mart and Furniture Row Outlet Donate To Help Street Kids In Mexico City

National furniture retailer Sofa Mart and Furniture Row Outlet, brands of Furniture Row Companies, will be making a donation to aid the estimated two million street children in Mexico City. The check presentation ceremony to World Vision is Wed. November 16th at 10 am at the Sofa Mart located at 5445 N. Bannock street off of I-25. The campaign titled, "Hope Is Always in Style," consisted of a $20 donation for every sofa sold from September 14 through October 12, 2005. All proceeds for the campaign will benefit World Vision's "Ninos de las Calle" (street children), program. The program assists in the wide spread problem of homeless children in Mexico City. Specifically designed to enable street children to become more self sufficient, and move into a stable environment, the program focuses on providing educational support, shelter, children's homes, and family reintegration whenever possible. World Vision President Richard Stearns, elaborates on what the financial support means to the program. "Sofa Mart and Furniture Row Outlet's annual campaign enables World Vision to help so many vulnerable young people in Mexico City. Not only does this support help meet their basic needs, it also helps us provide care and guidance so critical for them to recognize and pursue their potential.
