Sleep Country USA Opens Bend, OR Store With Fairytale Contest

Sleep Country USA, the Northwest’s largest seller of premium mattresses, announced its newest store has opened in Bend, Oregon. To celebrate, Sleep Country USA invites the Bend community to participate in its recently introduced “Princess and the Pea” event, which gives customers a chance to win a $1,000 Sleep Country USA gift certificate. Sleep Country USA’s “Princess and the Pea” event is based on the original story by Hans Christian Andersen in which a prince attempts to determine if a late night visitor to his castle is a true princess by placing a pea under the 20 mattresses she sleeps upon. In the morning, the girl confesses she did not sleep well because the bed was uncomfortable and therefore proves that she is a true princess because she is sensitive enough to have felt the presence of the pea. On April 30, 2006, Sleep Country USA invites the community to visit its newest store, located at 63455 No. Highway 97, to participate in the “Princess and the Pea” contest by guessing which mattress on the showroom floor is lying on top of a “pea.” With the doors opening at 11a.m, customers will have until 6p.m to make their best guess and be entered to win the contest. The one lucky winner will receive a $1,000 Sleep Country USA gift certificate and be crowned Prince or Princess of the land!
