Global Furniture USA To Celebrate Opening Of New High Point Showroom

Alex Rubinshteyn, Managing Director of Global Furniture USA, announced the grand opening of its new showroom in High Point, North Carolina. Although the showroom had been utilized, on a limited basis since the October, 2005 High Point Market, it had not completely finished its renovations until recently. Both showrooms were in operation in October. This new 10,000 ft. showroom is located at 118 West Commerce Street, in the former Michelangelo showroom. The site is more than four times the size of Global’s former showroom in the Plaza Suites building. In addition, the company also just opened a new 150,000 sq ft headquarters and warehouse in East Brunswick, NJ. The new site, located at 47 Sixth Street, replacing Global Furniture’s former 65,000 sq ft headquarters in Edison NJ. Rubinshteyn said, “Although Global Furniture is known for its container shipments, our by-the-piece sales to independent retailers are growing significantly. Our decision to expand our headquarters was made primarily to accommodate sales to our independent customers in the region as well as to enlarge our international headquarters operation. Our expanded warehouse will give us the opportunity to provide independent retailers with immediate U.S. access to a larger selection of quality contemporary furniture.” A 20,000 wholesale showroom is also being planned at the headquarters location. The new East Brunswick headquarters will be the flagship for the Global Furniture USA system, which offers direct pick-up or shipment to its growing base of independent retailers from warehouses in New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, California, and Toronto, Canada. Global will also direct its worldwide container business from this headquarters.
