Zocalo® opened its doors to West Coast retailers for a mini-market at its San Francisco headquarters on Thursday, July 6 and Friday, July 7. The company showcased its newest groups: Revelle™, Hampton Library™, Madison™ and new items from the Metropolitan Leather™ Collection. The success of the open house was clear with the company reporting that 100% of attending dealers bought new merchandise and three new commitments were made to the Zocalo Living™ In-Store Gallery Program. The company transformed its photography studio into a mini version of its Hamilton Square location so buyers who did not attend High Point market could see 108 new introductions and experience some of the unique showroom details Zocalo is known for, including fresh flowers, music, healthy lunches, homemade cookies, and Zocalo giveaways. “By providing the Zocalo showroom experience at the open house, we’re able to show new product without losing the luster and excitement of a major market,” said Marketing Manager Michael Chua, who helped coordinate the event. “We wanted the overall presentation to reflect the high quality of products and service that Zocalo strives for.” Gourmet lunches were served and provided an intimate setting for dealers to interact with Zocalo staff, including personnel that do not attend markets such as customer service, logistics and accounting. “Lunch was a great opportunity for Zocalo staff to sit down with dealers and get to know them,” said Vice President of Sales Duncan Elcombe. “By sharing delicious food and friendly conversation, our employees were able to build relationships that go beyond business, and that’s a wonderful experience.” ABOUT ZOCALO Zocalo® was founded in San Francisco over 11 years ago by Jeremy Sommer.
