Powell Company Announces New Retail Order System

A new, state-of-the-art order processing system is now being offered by the Powell Company to its retailers. According to the company, the new system, called PowellPRO™, makes placing orders, tracking orders, inventory information, confirmations and shipment notifications easier and faster. The system is easily accessed by retailers via the internet so that they may also have instant access to Powell promotions and price specials. “We’ve named this state-of-the-art system PowellPRO (Powell Retailers Online) because it provides our retailers with online capability into the order processing system. They can place orders directly and quickly, check where orders stand and have an idea when the order will arrive at their door,” said Tom Liddell, Sr. VP – National Sales for Powell. “This state-of-the-art system helps eliminate concerns over delivery dates and truly makes our retail partners part of the procedure.” This new system allows current Powell retailers to access account and order information on-line and to receive order and shipment confirmations via e-mail. In addition they may view Powell product, check inventory and actually select and order product. For potential Powell customers it offers on-line access to credit application forms and documents necessary to establish an account. “We believe that this new system makes doing business with Powell even easier and better than ever. Our reps are still a critical aspect of this system and we suggest that our retailers talk with their rep regarding using PowellPRO”, says Liddell. As an incentive to start using the PowellPRO system, the company is offering product/price specials for those who create their on-line account between August 15 and October 15.
