Richard Karn, best known for his role as Al Borland, the lovable sidekick of Tim Allen’s character on the nineties hit sitcom Home Improvement, will add his star luster to the 50th Anniversary Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers Fair Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas, Thursday, July 19, 2007. Following his role as the expert craftsmen and woodworker Al Borland, Karn served as the host of Family Feud for three seasons, and also made a celebrity appearance in The Strokes’ music video for the hit song “Someday.” He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Tudi and young son. "AWFS is excited that Richard Karn has agreed to headline this event. We want all the attendees to enjoy their experience at the show and Karn is a perfect addition, we are very fortunate to have Richard share his extensive talent with everyone at the awards banquet," said Skip Hem, AWFS chairman of the board. The AWFS®Fair expects to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style, by hosting the most successful event to date. This acclaimed exposition brings many of the leading equipment and supply companies that service the home and commercial furnishings industry together to discuss business opportunities, identify market trends and learn about new technologies.
