Brown Street Furniture announced that it has been acquired by Adam and Kyle Tager. Brown Street Furniture has been manufacturing quality case goods in Northern New Hampshire for over thirty-five years. Elwin Wright, one of the original owners, sold the majority ownership to the Tagers. Under the terms of the agreement, Mr. Wright will remain a partner with the company and manage production. Known for its beautifully crafted hardwood construction, Brown Street Furniture maintains a strong reputation and is widely distributed in fine retail establishments throughout the United States. Brown Street Furniture’s products are 100 % American made – one of the attributes that attracted the Tagers to the company. “Brown Street Furniture has maintained their reputation of quality American-made products, we plan to continue building upon that reputation, and just as we have done with Mystic Valley Traders, we will expand the product offerings, breathe new life into existing product lines and create stronger brand recognition”, said Adam Tager. Adam and Kyle Tager have worked in the home furnishing business for the past 15 years. They are owners of both Belle Maison, a purveyor of designer furnishings and Mystic Valley Traders, a manufacturer of luxury top-of-the-bed products and upholstered headboards. Mystic Valley Traders, which the Tagers acquired in 2003, is a good window into what Kyle and Adam can do with a company. They have taken Mystic Valley Traders from a company that had fallen behind in sales and market appeal and brought new life into it by investing in product design and marketing. Their efforts have led to a 35% increase in sales in the first 3 years. Brown Street Furniture comes with an already skilled workforce, a strong distribution channel and solid reputation. The Tagers will add their touch to the product design, sales and marketing arms of the business to bring Brown Street Furniture to the forefront of the furniture industry.
