PROFITsystems, Inc., announced that it just celebrated the first anniversary of its acquisition of EasyChair Software.  EasyChair had been in business since 1986 and was located in Minneapolis, MN.

A company spokesperson noted that, "PROFITsystems and EasyChair clients have benefited from the acquisition through improved customer service levels, new system ideas, access to new resources and reliance on a stronger technology partner.  PROFITsystems retained a number of the former EasyChair employees to train current staff and continue the support of the product."  “Their knowledge of the EasyChair software and clients is vital to continuing our tradition of excellent service”, stated Joanne Gulnac, the head of the software support department. "Despite some rumors and misinformation circulating in the industry," she continued, "PROFITsystems has no interest in discontinuing the EasyChair product or forcing retailers to change to another system."

“We are excited by the results of this acquisition.  EasyChair clients who are interested in switching to PROFITsystems’ software have a clear path to doing so.  Those whose needs are being met by the EasyChair software are able to continue using it knowing that we are here to answer questions and support that product on a new level,” said PROFITsystems CEO Jeff Niskern. “We are able to provide all of our clients the technology and service to help them make money.”

“Obviously, our company was a bit skeptical when the merger was first announced, but it has been well received and PROFITsystems has been exciting to work with. We are confident that PROFITsystems will be a long-term partner to help grow our business.” Evan Faller, Manager of Faller’s Furniture in Clarion, PA.
