Aireloom Develops Medical Beds and Designs Face Masks for Healthcare Workers and Others in Need

Furniture World News Desk on 4/29/2020

To help during the COVID-19 pandemic, luxury bedding producer E.S. Kluft & Company announced that it is developing medical beds and cotton face masks. Also, the company is joining Design Unites to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity New York City’s Emergency Housing Response Fund by donating an exclusive Aireloom® bed package.

“Being able to do something with our resources is the least we can do at this time, and now more than ever, we all need to come together to help in any way we can. From the moment we learned about the coronavirus pandemic, our team took immediate action in planning the development of medical beds and face masks for healthcare professionals, facilities, and other organizations in need,” said Jon Stowe, E.S. Kluft & Company managing director.

The non-medical, reusable face masks are made with Aireloom®’s iconic fabrics. They are designed with a pocket to insert a disposable HEPA filter such as a coffee filter, vacuum cleaner bag filter, or air purifier filter. The masks specifications include:

  • 100% cotton fabric
  • Designed to be used with a disposable filter that’s inserted in an interior pocket
  • Reusable, washable, and durable
  • Available in one size fits all
  • Made in the USA

Furthermore, FR (flame-resistant) compliant Aireloom® medical beds are available in two types— high-quality foam or innerspring core. The sizes include standard twin or twin XL, 36’’x75’’, 36’’x80’’, 36’’x84”; specific sizes can also be created upon request. Additionally, features for both include:

  • Fluid proof cover
  • Durable
  • Anti-microbial
  • Anti-fungal
  • Stain-resistant

Medical beds and face masks will be donated and distributed among healthcare facilities which include OC Hospice, UCI Medical Center, Adventist Health Hospitals in California, and Rocky Mountain Care, to name a few. Also, masks will be provided to retailer partners across the country to protect their workers once stores reopen. These items are available for purchase at actual cost or for donation. Inquiries can be emailed to: info@eskluft.com.

In addition, E.S. Kluft & Company has joined forces with Design Unites to help raise funds for Habitat for Humanity New York City and to specifically benefit Habitat’s COVID-19 Emergency Housing Response Fund. In partnership with Charitybuzz, Design Unites was created to conduct a series of auctions in which the net proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity New York City. Along with several well-known interior design stars who are donating their products and services to the auction, E.S. Kluft & Company will be donating an exclusive Aireloom® mattress package valued up to $6,000. The package will include a mattress based on a private consultation with one of the brand’s sleep experts to understand which Aireloom® mattress type will suit them best based on their sleep habits to give them a comfortable sleep experience. Also, the package will include a set of Aireloom® Nimbus Visco Pillows and two protective face masks. Aireloom®’s exclusive donation will go for auction for a limited time starting April 30th until May 13th, 2020. To participate in the auction, visit: www.charitybuzz.com/DesignUnites
