1. treats associates with reasonable courtesy and compassion, even when errors in judgment and performance occur.
     
2. seeks solutions rather than condemnation when performance does not meet expectations.
     
3. is firm but fair in resolving misunderstandings.
   
   
4. is principled and consistent in the administration of discipline. 
     
5. is forthright; does not embellish facts and figures.
       
6. is reasonable and understanding when differences arise.
     
7. does not allow emotions to distort decisions involving personnel.
