Furniture Wizard Releases New Cloud-Hosted Platform

Furniture Wizard announced that it has introduced a new option for users of its powerful point-of-sale system: a cloud-hosted solution.

“This solution gives our users everything they love about Furniture Wizard software, while increasing access and performance,” said Evan Faller, Director of Operations. “It really allows our users to take their point-of-sale system to a whole new level.”

With the new cloud-hosted version of Furniture Wizard, users can access their Point-of-Sale System from anywhere. The cloud solution eliminates the need for users to update and back up their system. It also offers consistently excellent speed and performance, even with additional users. And the cloud-hosted solution provides additional security and redundancy for peace of mind.

Berk’s Furniture and Mattress in Northern New Jersey had been using the local version of Furniture Wizard since 2003. They were the first to sign on for the cloud-hosted version. Justin Berkowitz, a Partner at Berk’s, explains why they became an “early adopter.”

“Going to the cloud-hosted solution has increased our processing speed tremendously, even with additional users,” said Berkowitz. “And having the ability to easily access our information from anywhere has been great – especially during these last few months.”

The new cloud-hosted solution expands Furniture Wizard’s customer options and versatility. Now, customers can choose to operate their point-of-sale system in one of three modes:

  • Local operation: Software is run on in-store computers. This is a cost-effective solution that’s suitable for small or single-store customers.

  • Server-based operation: Software is hosted on a server operated by the customer. This is helpful for larger stores or multiple locations. It does require customers to run and maintain their own server infrastructure.

  • Cloud-hosted operation: Software is hosted in the cloud, so customers have no up-front investment in computer infrastructure. This solution is suitable for any size customer that doesn’t want the responsibility of maintaining and updating their own software. This version is automatically updated, offers redundancy, and is good for those customers who value performance speed, especially for multiple users.
