Ashley HomeStore announced that it ’s Hope to Dream program has partnered with Make-A-Wish® Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada to make one lucky 11-year old’s dreams come true. Gabby was that lucky girl; with a dream to have a bed that allowed her to sit up. Due to health reasons, Gabby needs to sleep in an upright incline. When Hope to Dream Ambassadors heard her story and learned about how her mother props pillows up for her every day, they knew they could help make her wish come true in partnership with Make-A- Wish. Gabby will now be sleeping on a new adjustable queen mattress, topped with bedding filled with touches of her favorite color, pink.
“We are so grateful for community partners, like Ashley HomeStores’ Hope To Dream program, that join us in granting wishes to local children, like Gabby, battling critical illnesses,” said Kathleen Price, Make- A-Wish Vice President of Development, Central California. “Gabby is going to feel like a princess with her new bed and accessories.”
“We are very excited to partner our Hope to Dream Program with the Make a Wish Foundation,” stated Kurt Haines, President of Stoneledge Furniture LLC. “We’re grateful to be able to help make this very deserving opportunity possible and we look forward to continuing to support our local community.
Gabby will now have her Dream Room fully equipped with an adjustable base bed to address her needs.”
Hope to Dream was founded in 2010 on the guiding principle, that every child deserves a good night’s sleep. A portion of the proceeds for every mattress purchased at a participating Ashley HomeStore in the U.S. and Canada helps pay for a bed for an underserved child. Over 525 Ashley HomeStores participate in the program to date and over 100,000 beds have been donated.
