This October, Stanford Furniture’s comfortable, custom upholstery will merge with Gabby’s modern, transitional design giving customers the best of both worlds in terms of exceptional upholstery products.
“I am proud of how our teams have exemplified our core values and how they have been particularly dedicated and nimble as we integrate,” says William White, President. “Assimilating the new Claremont, North Carolina upholstery team and renovating the new High Point Showroom in the midst of a global pandemic has been our biggest accomplishment to date,” adds White.
Over the past year, the brands have been working hard to develop and refine an offering defined as ‘livable luxury’ which focuses on a few core customer centric needs; style, comfort, performance and service. The new program will go to market under the Gabby brand making its debut at October’s High Point Market. It will feature a smart selection of simplified customization options across a selection of more than 300 frames. Accompanied by a comprehensive assortment of more than 500 fabrics and leathers. Thirty percent of the fabric line will deliver on performance for both the indoors and out across multiple grade levels. This program is also being built with a focus on speed to market. The simplified customization options and a commitment to stocking the frames and fabrics will help to ensure as the program grows that the lead times will not.
William goes on to say, “We are building an upholstery line that is as functional as it is beautiful, recognizing that there is a real need in the marketplace for quality upholstery that can be stylish, be lived in and can be delivered in less than four weeks. I had my own family in mind
when we embarked on this journey, looking to have something in our home that is beautiful that we can also let our kids can jump on was really important.”
While the Stanford name will go away, their commitment to product personalization will continue in the updated Stanford Select made to measure program. Stanford’s Essentials Program will transition into the Stanford Select Program – and will be launched with an updated offering of semi-custom selections that will continue to allow customers to have the opportunity for creating personalized, one-of-a-kind seating options. With Gabby’s eye for design and Stanford’s high-quality construction methods, fashioning personalized upholstery has never been so seamless.
Gabby will offer opportunities for customers to view the new upholstery offering both virtually and in-person this fall. The brand is hosting three live virtual showroom tours, several immersive virtual designer events, 3D tours and much more! The new High Point showroom, located at 333 North Hamilton Street, features an impressive 20,000 square feet that has been renovated to showcase both the Gabby and Summer Classics brands.
