Legends Celebrates Their Employees and Gives to Cancer Charity in October

Legends had their 2nd annual Cancer Walk with approximately 75 employees supporting the cause by wearing pink, walking behind a banner full of ribbons with names of loved ones who lost or who beat cancer.

Legends Furniture announced that with 2021 coming to an end and before everyone got too busy with their families this holiday season, October was the perfect month for to celebrate their employees and give to charity. Legends wanted to celebrate their employees' hard work and achievements this year by giving them some well-deserved appreciation.

To start off the month, Legends had a celebration for Margoth Villa who was retiring after working for the company for 19 years in Packaging. She will be staying home to help with her elderly mother. Her celebration included homemade food cooked by the employees, presents and an amazing speech from her manager and friend. She also gave her own speech in a tearful farewell. She has been an amazing, constant at Legends and will be sorely missed.

The other two celebrations happened the last week of the month. Legends had their 2nd annual Cancer Walk with approximately 75 employees supporting the cause by wearing pink, walking behind a banner full of ribbons with names of loved ones who lost or who beat cancer. Many were proudly holding signs with “Support the Fight” while having a great time with fellow employees. After the walk there was a Cornhole tournament in which for every point the employees earned, Legends would give a donation. From the efforts of their employees during the walk and Cornhole tournament, Legends donated to a local cancer charity, Cancer Support Community Arizona, in memory of the employees effected by cancer.

Lastly, Halloween closed out the month, with Legends annual pumpkin carving and costume contests that the employees always love to participate in.
