Hooker Furnishings Names Ken Donham to Lead International Operations

Hooker Furnishings announced it has appointed Ken Donham to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of International Operations.

 

 In his new role, the 20-year industry veteran will be responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, Asian shared services, supporting country managers and global supply chain initiatives. He will report to Tod Phelps, senior vice president of operations and chief information officer.

 

“Ken brings an impressive range of experience to the company thanks to his certifications and major roles with some of the leading companies in our industry,” said Phelps. “The pandemic has challenged the industry, but with Ken joining our team we are adding someone with strong experience to help us relieve these issues to better service our customers.”

 

Most recently, Donham was the vice president of supply chain at Riverside Furniture where he led on-demand planning, purchasing, ocean logistics, supply chain, sourcing, and sales and operations planning.

 

He also held other executive positions at ART Furniture and Broyhill Furniture where he was responsible for sales operations, purchasing, contract negotiation, supply planning, logistics and distribution.    

 

Earlier in his career, Donham was director of supply chain at Stallergenes Greer, a global bio-pharmaceutical company. While there, he focused on strategic vision and performance across the supply chain units.

 

Active in the industry, Donham has volunteered with the Association of Supply Chain Management for 10 years in various roles.

 

He received his bachelor’s degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Project Management Professional (PMP

 

He resides in Hickory, N.C. with his family.
