Modway Opens State-of-the-Art 1 Million Square Foot Warehouse in Hesperia, CA

Modway recently opened the doors to a new state-of-the-art warehouse in the city of Hesperia located in San Bernardino County, California. Three times the size of their previous West Coast location, Modway’s new building breaks the record as Hesperia’s first warehouse with over a million square feet. This expansive building is home to Modway’s vast assortment of indoor and outdoor furniture—over 10,000 SKUs with categories for every room in the home. 

 

Strategically located, the warehouse is situated right off Interstate 15 within driving distance to Los Angeles. This new warehouse works alongside its New Jersey counterpart allowing for greater operating efficiencies and faster shipping times to better serve the furniture industry. Modway accounts benefit from extensive just-in-time inventory with in-stock color, size, and style options. Warehouse manager Shmuel Volovick says, “One of the reasons we moved to a bigger space in California is because we are trying to stock the most popular items in both East and West warehouses to cut transit and delivery times so customers can get their products much faster.” 

 

Faster shipping times aren’t the only thing this groundbreaking warehouse is bringing to the table. Volovick discusses how the new warehouse is providing scaling growth for Modway which ensures quick processing times as the company continues to expand. “Currently we have about 45 people employed in the California location, and we fully expect to ramp up to 150 to 200 employees within the year.”
