BDI Introduces the Interval Collection of Home Entertainment Cabinets and Consoles

BDI, furniture designer and manufacturer of modern office, storage, and entertainment solutions, is debuting its new Interval Collection of home entertainment cabinets and storage consoles. Designed by Matthew Weatherly and Al Glass, the collection will showcase at the Spring High Point Market this April in BDI’s showroom at the IHFC Design Center, #536.
Interval’s beautiful aesthetic is anchored by louvered doors that feature half-lap jointed hardwood for a striking grid design. The gorgeously handcrafted doors are backed with fabric-covered perforated metal, keeping contents out of sight while also offering the benefit of acoustic transparency that allows sound, heat, and remote signals to pass through easily. “The eye-catching design is innovative and functional and will be a warm contemporary addition to your home entertainment and storage spaces,” said Weatherly.
Interval Cabinets
Combining refined style with innovative function to offer a complete home entertainment solution, BDI’s Interval Cabinets feature multiple finishes and configurations. Designed with premium materials and a modern aesthetic, the Interval cabinets include the following designs:
Interval 7247 Cabinet measures 27H x 66W x 20D in and offers a surface area that supports up to a 70-inch TV.
Interval 7249 Cabinet measures 27H x 78W x 20D in and has a surface area that can support up to an 80” TV.
Both cabinets host a number of integrated features that support a complete home theater setup. These include:
- The full-width door features a cable glide system for assisted opening and closing
- Both cabinets feature a full-width soundbar shelf and an adjustable center shelf for use with larger center channel speakers
- Integrated wire management channels and cable wraps keep cords bundled and out of sight
- Removable rear panels for access to cables and connections
- Includes a TV safety strap
Interval Console
The Interval 7246 Console shares a similar design to the media cabinets but is supported by a taller base, allowing for more versatility that will be an elegant addition to any space. It also beautifully functions as a storage console for entryways, dining rooms, or living spaces.
The Interval Console measures 32H x 61.5W x 16D in and can support up to a 60-inch TV. It also features the following design elements:
- Full-width center shelf adjusts to three positions
- Fixed back panel provides added stability
- Generous cable routing openings and optional wraps in the rear of the console provide wire management
All cabinets and consoles in the Interval collection are available in Charcoal Stained Ash with Natural Walnut, or all Natural Walnut finishes. Interval will be available for shipping in Q2 2022.
