Gorman’s Home Furnishings Announces The Addition Of Three New Designers To Southfield Design Center And Showroom

Gorman’s Home Furnishings And Interior Design has announced the addition of three interior designers to its Southfield design center and showroom: Yolanda Williams, Patrick Adams, and Brianna Whitwam. Each designer is responsible for working with homeowners to select furniture and accessories, provide in-home design counsel, and the selling of home furnishings.

Yolanda Williams started her career in design more than three decades ago as a project supervisor at La Petite Boulangerie in Mill Valley, California. There she designed and implemented the layout of the bakery chain’s stores. She most recently was employed as a sales associate with Hillside Furniture and house of Bedrooms Kids, both of Bloomfield Hills.

The Troy resident attended Wayne State University, majoring in Speech and Communication.

Patrick Adams of Royal Oak has worked in art and technical design since 1987. Prior to joining Gorman’s, he fashioned interiors in positions with Ariana Gallery and Art Van/Scott Shuptrine, both in Royal Oak.

Adams received his associate’s degree in commercial art from Ferris State University and Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Western Michigan University. He also studied painting independently under Aris Koutroulis at the Center for Creative Studies.

Brianna Whitwam of Flat Rock previously served as an interior designer at KDI Kitchen and Bath in Southgate.

An Allied ASID member, she is a recent graduate of Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids.
