Modway Brings American-Made Furniture to High Point

Modway is turning over a new leaf this fall with the introduction of their first-ever American-made furniture collections. Just in time for High Point Market, the two collections comprise 42 new SKUs featuring tailored silhouettes and upscale modern designs that are perfect for any room in the home.

Avendale and Laurel are the newest additions to Modway’s expansive furniture line. Both living room collections abound in modern style and superior comfort. Made with 100% solid wood, these collections feature Amish-made frames and are cut, sewn, and upholstered by skilled craftsmen right in the USA.

“A lot of care and expertise has gone into these collections right here in our own backyard. They sit incredibly well and are very durable, and they are built to last. Having production stateside will drastically improve lead times, too,” said Liv Stevens, product development designer for Modway.

The first of the collections is Avendale, offered in two fabric options–four performance velvet colors and two linen blend color choices. This collection is complete with squared armrests, thick seat cushions, and clean, minimal lines. Avendale is available in two sizes and two configurations—a loveseat and a sofa with either two by two double thick cushions or a streamlined bench cushion.

The second of the domestic collections is Laurel. Boasting a classic silhouette with wood legs and bolster pillows, Laurel is perfect for transitional, contemporary spaces. Upholstered in a durable linen blend fabric with three color options, this collection is available as a sofa, loveseat, right and left-facing sectionals, armchair, or ottoman.

The decision to turn to US production was made with customers and retailers in mind. “We’re always keeping up with trends, not just styles, but what the market is doing as a whole. It just felt time to start expanding our production capabilities and branch into a new endeavor,” said Stevens.

And these aren’t the only two American-made collections in the works, according to Stevens. “We do have plans to debut more collections in the future. I can’t give specifics just yet, but customers will love them.”

In addition to the new collections, Modway will also showcase their ever-growing selection of modern furniture, area rugs, mattresses, office furniture, outdoor furniture, and lighting options at this season’s High Point Market in their showroom IHFC: H524.
