International Market Centers’ (IMC) plan to reimagine the buying experience in its largest High Point property – the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) – kicks off this October with the opening of a new design-driven décor floor, refreshment of key furniture floors and some 35 showroom updates at the Fall 2022 Market, October 22-26, 2022.
“The October debut of the strategic reorganization of IHFC is already improving the shopping experience in this gateway to High Point Market,” said Scott Eckman, IMC executive vice president, chief revenue officer. “The transformation of Floor 5 into a décor destination and significant resource updates on Floors 6 and 7 encourage discovery like never before.”
The Fall 2022 updates are key elements in IMC’s plan to create a five-story contiguous multi-floor accessories collection (Floors 1-5) that begins with the celebrated InterHall temporary exhibits on the ground floor of IHFC. The accessories floors will flow into a contiguous seven-story furniture destination (Floors 6-12) anchored by some of the most influential brands in the industry.
New Floor 5 Design Destination
IHFC’s Floor 5 décor collection will offer a robust selection of accessories, furnishings, lighting, rugs and textiles, expanding upon offerings on Floors 1-4 below. The inaugural exhibitors include nine brands that join the floor in their High Point Market debut or relocate to IHFC from other High Point Market locations: CHANDRA (handcrafted rugs), GTR Leather (leather furniture made in North America), HB Home Furnishings (pool tables, foosball, air hockey, gaming tables and entertainment accessories), LR Resources, Inc. (area rugs and handcrafted furniture and accessories), Meridian Furniture (whole home furnishings), Orian/Palmetto Living (area and scatter rugs),Rizzy Home (rugs, bedding, pillows, accent throws and reclaimed wooden furniture), SAMS International (area rugs) and ZUO (residential and commercial indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting and home décor).
To celebrate the launch of the new Floor 5 décor collection, JuniperMarket – IMC’s new B2B ecommerce marketplace – will host free breakfast for buyers on Floors 2-5, 8-10 a.m., from Saturday, October 22, through Tuesday, October 24.
Additional updates to the décor and accessories collection on Floors 1 through 4 include two new showrooms: Eikones Studio (photographic wall art) on Floor 3 and Park Hill Collection (home décor in a wide breadth of styles sourced from artisans and manufacturers across the globe) on Floor 4. Some six brands relocate, with Floor 4 welcoming Akara Rugs (hand-woven, hand-tufted and hand-knotted rugs, carpets and bathmats) Amer Rugs (area rugs), Art Carpet & Home (area rugs made in Turkey) and Viz Glass Inc (art glass wall decor, lighting, accessories, sculpture and outdoor décor); and Floor 2 adding DownTown Company (goose down hypoallergenic pillows and comforters) and Hallmart Collectibles (top of bed and indoor/outdoor pillows).
Floor 6 and 7 Updates Lead Furniture Refresh
The IHFC reorganization is refreshing the furniture offerings on Floors 6 through 12, with significant updates to Floors 6 and 7 opening at the Fall 2022 market. Three brands are new to Floor 6: Night & Day Furniture (bedroom furniture, cabinet beds, futons and daybeds) and Yatas Bedding / Enza (mattresses, bedding products, home textiles and storage beds and headboards). Some 13 brands are new to Floor 7: Amisco (furniture made in Canada), Armen Living (contemporary furniture), Casabianca Furniture, LLC (contemporary dining, living, bedroom and office furniture), Casamode Furniture (storage sofa beds, loveseats and chairs in fabric and leather), Dienne Salotti (sofas beds made in Italy), Dynamic Furniture (promotional case goods made in Canada), Fabelli Italia (contemporary Italian bedroom, dining and occasional furniture), Fabrica De Muebles Torres (contemporary bedroom, entertainment, juvenile and occasional furniture from Spain), Geniemode (supply chain technology services), H2 Seating (motion chairs, recliners and sofas from Norway), Himolla (reclining sofas and chairs handcrafted in Germany), Infinity Massage Chairs (massage and wellness chairs), Mobital (bedroom and dining room leather and fabric upholstery furniture and occasional goods) and Whiteline Imports LLC (modern and contemporary dining, bedroom, occasional, living, patio and office furniture and accessories). Additionally, Brandsource (furniture, electronics and appliance buying group) and iRest (massage chairs) are new on Floor 10.
“The first phase of improvements are early indicators of a reimagining of IHFC as an unmatched whole home sourcing destination that will redefine the High Point Market experience,” added Eckman. “These moves are just the beginning of significant and strategic moves over the next few Markets that will progress this landmark optimization project.”
