Badcock Home Furniture &more announces its High Score on the 2022 Wood Furniture Scorecard, a joint initiative by the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) and National Wildlife Federation (NWF). The Scorecard recognizes furniture retailers of all sizes for implementing robust policies that drive responsible wood-sourcing practices through their supply chains.
“Our goal is to continue making environmentally sound initiatives a top priority, through sustainable wood sourcing, recycling materials and donating furniture to local nonprofits,” says Badcock Home Furniture &more President and COO Mitchell Stiles.
More than 50% of Badcock’s wood furniture is responsibly sourced, certified sustainable and/or contains reclaimed or recycled components. Badcock also works with its suppliers to eliminate wood from unacceptable sources and progressively increase the amount of certified and recycled wood from reclaimed sources.
Responsible wood sourcing is just one of many ways Badcock is dedicated to making eco-conscious decisions. The company is also committed to carbon reduction, consumer and environmental health, waste reduction, water management and product circularity.
