West Michigan Retailer Talsma Furniture Opens Design Center Location

Talsma Furniture reported that it is expanding in West Michigan at a new location on East Paris.

Owner Richard Talsma says this new location is a design center that specializes in customer orders. He and his wife are carrying the latest in prints, design and style, and you can choose the type of wood, custom finish, colors, and more.

Talsma says special orders are much less expensive then they used to be.



"Custom orders are beginning to get really popular. It's your choice, you can have what you want. You can now go online and design your room and then come in here and try it out," he said.

He calls the store "phase one." Talsma will open two other speciality stores on the same block this year.

One is a mattress store, and the other is a contemporary, urban-themed furniture store.
